Civilization at the Point of Inflection: Relevance of Vedic philosophy in 21st Century & Beyond

September 10th, 2022 Huston, Texas

Partha Ghosh believes that the 21st century humanity will need to deal with two fundamental mega tensions that are threatening the advancement of our civilization: (i) tensions between nature and humanity and (ii) tensions between different societies/ ideologies across nations and within nations. Imbalances in Ethics, Ecology, and Equality at macrolevel and rising violence, accelerating suicides, growing depression at microlevel –are fundamentally endangering the inner calm and peaceful progress of society.  He passionately argues for transformational change powered by the doctrines of Vedic Philosophy.

The essentials of Vedic Philosophy, which is about harmony, which is about one humanity, which is about inclusiveness emphasizes the importance of spiritual and intellectual development over materialism. When materialism trumps over spiritualism, our mindset becomes transactional, our mindset breeds a culture of divisionism. The purpose of spiritual development based on our ancient scriptures is not to destroy the present but to make the present and the future more fulfilling and more enlightening. We now need humanism – that is what Vedic Philosophy all about in a nutshell.
